After breakfast, go on to explore the highlights of Bangkok. Visit the splendid Grand Palace complex, the Emerald Buddha statue, Wat Arun, a.k.a. the Temple of Dawn, Wat Po, Bangkok’s oldest temple and the home of the iconic reclining Buddha statue, and the Flower Market. Afterwards, take a tuk-tuk ride to the famous Food Street with numerous small restaurants in old Rattanakosin Island. Some of these shops have been in business for more than half a century! Sample the delicious dishes here for lunch. In the evening, go to the Supatra River House, an atmospheric restaurant serving authentic Thai dishes, for dinner.
Take your first cooking lesson at a well-known cookery school in Bangkok. Learn the secrets behind the scrumptious Thai delicacies. Enjoy the dishes you made for your lesson for lunch. Late afternoon, visit Chinatown Market by local transport and discover the incredible influence Chinese immigrants had on Thai food. Bangkok’s Chinatown is famous for the great variety of food served at street-side restaurants and outdoor diners popular among the locals. You can walk through the busy market streets to sample amazing dishes and browse fresh ingredients imported from China.
After breakfast, depart to Ayutthaya. Upon arrival, discover the Ayutthaya Historical Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, by bicycle. Tour the amazing Elephant Kraal and then enjoy a delicious Thai lunch aboard the Thanatharee cruise, a beautiful teak barge. In the afternoon, follow the Thanatharee’s daily program for a unique cultural experience. Return to Bangkok in the evening and visit the Asiatique, the biggest night bazaar in Asia, located scenically on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. You can try an eclectic mix of authentic Thai dishes for dinner here.

Go to the Mae Ta Maan elephant camp to watch elephants taking their morning bath and playing. Then, go on an exciting elephant-back ride through the forest and across streams. Afterwards, take a bamboo raft down the Mae Tang River.
Depart to Chiang Rai and arrive at the Lanjia Lodge, a scenic, community-based lodge. You will get to meet Hmong tribal people here. Learn how to make a Hmong batik handkerchief the traditional way and help villagers plant trees at the Herbal Plant Nursery Project.
