Day 1
Location
From : Yangon (RGN) To : Kyaiktiyo

Your chauffeur will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to Bago. Upon arrival, embark on an exciting sightseeing tour. Visit the Thamanay Buddhist Seminary, where about 150 monks live and study. Tour the 1,000-year-old Shwemawdaw Pagoda that has a spire taller than the more famous Shwedagon Pagoda. Afterwards, leave Bago for Kin Pun base camp. Enjoy lunch en route at a local restaurant. Arrive at your base camp at Kin Pun and head off to visit Kyaiktiyo, better known as the “Golden Rock,” an iconic landmark of Myanmar. It’s a huge boulder covered in gold leaf and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff. A steep 11 km road from your base camp leads to the upper staging point of Kyaiktiyo. You will ride there in an open truck, which tend to be crowded and uncomfortable (be aware of this beforehand). The final 4km of the journey has to be completed on foot up a steep path. Once you arrive on top, enjoy the stunning panoramic view of the surrounding jungle and the spectacular sunset. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.
